Golf Course in Marrakech
They call it Brigitte Bardot and is the most naughty hole of the Royal Golf Club of Marrakech, the historic camp built in 1923 by the Pasha of the town and further improved in 1933 by the English golf champion, Arnaud Massy. Only those who have played can smile at the memory: to get to the green of this hole you have to go through two hills which are said to be a copy (in large format) of the breast of the legendary French actress Brigitte Bardot. Apart from that, the path, an 18-hole par 72 course that is located in the area of a botanical garden full of eucalyptus, palms, olive and orange trees, is very pleasant. Above is appreciated by players of all levels because forgive some beginner mistakes and engage, on some holes, the expert player. After a full immersion in the green and a deserved rest in the Club House, you can let yourself be wrapped up by the scent of spice souks, admire the sunset in Jeema’a el Fna square or be fascinated by the tranquillity and colours of the Majorelle gardens. To stay in the surroundings you can choose from a wide offer of hotels in Marrakech: from the sumptuous Riad Moullaoud or the centric Ryad Amiran.
Golf Course in Casablanca
From route oldest to the most recent golf course in Morrocco, which was inaugurated just a few months ago and is located about an hour’s drive south of Casablanca, in El Jadida. This is the Mazagan Beach Resort & Golf, a great location with spectacular views of the Ocean which alone is worth the trip. This course, designed masterfully by South African Gary Player, expands along the Atlantic on a wavy path, with low vegetation, where the sand hills slope down to the sea. It’s a fascinating 18-hole par 72 slightly difficult, where the wind plays a significant role and accuracy of the shot is needed. The Mazagan Beach Resort includes, in addition to the golf course, a 5-star hotel that is located on a private beach of 7 km, refined and elegant, with 500 rooms and suites, 8 different restaurants offering both Moroccan cuisine and the best international cuisine, tennis courts, casino, swimming pool and a spa where you can relax after playing.
Golf Course in Algarve
Spring is the best season to play on the greens in the Algarve. This southern region of Portugal is a sequence of fields, a golf dedicated region andan area with hundreds of golf courses. A very frequented golf course region, especially thanks to its proximity to the airport of Faro (18 km) and because in a just 30-minute drive radius there are numerous golf courses (Quinta do Lago, Vila Sol Vilamoura, just to name a couple). The most outstanding golf course in Algarve is doubtless the San Lorenzo Golf & Resort. This Golf, opened in 1988 and designed by the American architect Joseph Lee, is a par 72 course that is spread over a varied terrain where the first 5 holes are surrounded by a forest of pines and where the players are all holding their breath in the hole 18, where you must place a perfect drive to overcome the lake, which seems ready to swallow your ball. This golf course is next to Dona Filipa Resort, with which it is connected by a shuttle service, very convenient for golfers who can also enjoy the private beach and the swimming pool.
Golf Course in Catalonia
Spain is another frequented site by golf “glob trotters”. Near Lloret de Mar, in Costa Brava, exactly in Caldes de Malavella, and a few kilometers from the airport of Girona is the PGA Catalunya Golf Course, home of the Spanish Open between 2000 and 2009, which includes two 18-hole courses, both par 72: Stadium Course, the most technical, made difficult by the trees that surround the fairways, the lakes and bunkers strategically placed in defense of the green but with elevated tees and just a few fairways uphill. The other, the Tour Course, an 18 hole golf course opened in 2005, easier, with wide fairways and very large greens is much less demanding but no less technical and funny. Directly located on the golf course is the Hotel Melia Golf Vichy Catalan, perfectly in harmony with the surrounding natural environment, with 149 rooms and a spa and fitness area. The location of the course makes it an excellent starting point for excursions to explore the Costa Brava and its beaches and, optionally, the city of Barcelona, just 85 km away.
Golf Course in Costa del Sol
Also in Spain, on the Costa del Sol near Marbella is The Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, two 18-hole courses and a pitch & putt of 9 holes. The Northen path, par 70, opened in 1959 with tight fairways and protected by trees, it requires precision in shots, especially in the drive. The Southern Path, opened in 1973 is characterized by numerous water hazards that represent an exciting challenge for players. The five-star luxurious Hotel Guadalmina Spa & Golf Resort is part of Golf course, overlooking the sea, furnished in Mediterranean style and offers to the guests two saltwater pools and a private beach.

The historic course and the first of the French Riviera is the Old Course Cannes Mandelieu, created in 1891 by the Grand Duke Michael of Russia who, after returning from a trip to Scotland, fascinated by this sport who had seen play on the greens of St. Andrews, decided to build a path on the French Riviera where he loved to stay, choosing Mandelieu for the beauty of the landscape. At Old Course can play both the experiences and the neophyte, because of its two paths: one 18-hole par 71 for the most experienced players and a 9-hole par 33, easier, also suitable for beginners. Nature is very present on the greens, the holes are located through the shade of pine trees and characterized by wide fairways and undulating greens and the presence of the river Stagne, which runs through part of the track and makes the hole 3 very special. The beauty of the land, mild climate, sea and beaches, but also the possibility of interesting excursions: from Eze to Biot to Mougins, Saint Paul de Vence or Grasse play an important role in the choice of this destination.

This course, designed by Californian architect Kyle Phillips includes two tracks of 18-hole and one 9-hole golf course, with some “sea view” holes, for the joy of the most passionate golfers, with wide fairways, and a young vegetation which forgives also not too rights shots.
